Instructor

Howard is an instructor with Coyote Trails School of Nature and has taught naturalist skills, earth living skills, including tracking and a philosophy of living with joy and peace to many folks of all ages in this country.  Born in Southeastern Pennsylvania from the fertile soils of the piedmont area, Howard connected to nature as an infant having woods and a large pond full of wildlife in his backyard.

Being influenced by my reptile and amphibian loving father, growing up with a barn owl companion,
stalking and catching frogs and falling asleep in leaf piles helped determine my path early on.
He graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a degree in Hospitality Management which helped
develop his love for connecting and interacting with people of all ages.  Mentored for the past 12 years from Tom Brown’s Tracker school, Wilderness Awareness School,  Vermont Wilderness School,
Practical Primitive , and Tatanka Mani Camp, along with many years of self-taught field experience,
Howard is a Kamana  Naturalist Training Program Graduate from Wilderness Awareness School, and holds a Level II Track and Sign Interpretation Certificate from CyberTracker International.

An accomplished flintknapper, his love for primitive skills is an ever growing field of study.
Howard started guiding people toward their unique connection with the Earth teaching through nature centers and afterschool programs and as an instructor for the Children of the Earth Foundation.
As a Coyote Trails instructor, he also assisted in guiding Coyote Trails staff members to become instructors, and students in wilderness wander quests.  Howard is also a certified PSYCH-K facilitator.
Howard’s life is a journey of open learning, faith and passion in the eternal moment, and his function
is helping people understand their potential.
