Monarchs and Milkweed, November 8, 2014

Did you know that Monarch caterpillars only eat milkweed? Come learn all about Monarchs, milkweed, and how to help reverse the decline of these butterflies. Hands-on activities will include milkweed seed harvesting, starting milkweed from rhizomes, and creation of your own “seeds-in-a-ball” to take home.  We will also discuss the Monarch Waystation project to provide breeding habitat for Monarchs and other pollinators.  Come learn how you can do something positive to bring back the beautiful Monarch butterflies to the Rogue Valley.
