Carole wears many hats in her life and every one is made with a fabric combining teaching and nature. Each summer since 2001 she has served as Ecology and Conservation Director as well as Chaplain at a local Boy Scout camp. She has developed Montessori and nature programs for home schoolers since 2000.
She was instrumental in the development of a science curriculum which conforms to national and state standards utilizing requirements of several Boy Scout merit badges. This curriculum is currently in use by several educators in Ohio. She also co-authored, Field Guide for Camp Falling Rock. She conducts Naturalist programs for BSA and other youth groups throughout the year. Carole also brings to Coyote Trails her experience as a Certified Wilderness First Aid Instructor and as a Leave No Trace Master Educator. The Audubon Eco-Weekend youth program has also benefited from Carole's efforts for several years. The edible and medicinal plants of our area are of special interest to Carole but they must compete with our wide variety of mammals for her attention as she wanders about in her "spare" time "It may take a lifetime to truly understand and appreciate the earth (nature), but through the process, we will begin to innately respect and protect all that the earth has to give."
