This class is offered as part of a monthly series, with the attempt to introduce the basic survival skills. The intent is to offer the classes in sequence as a course, however people can sign up for the classes individually. The exception is the last class (June 24th, 2017). Participants in the last class must have participated in one of the previous classes in order to attend. Each class will last 4 hours and take place in Pataskala, Ohio which is located near Columbus. We will be inside and outside (regardless of the weather) for all classes. Minimum age is 12. More information will be provided upon registration.
Learn how to start a fire in many ways, such as with a bow drill kit through friction as well as how to light a fire with one match. Other techniques will be explored but the emphasis will be on how to set up a fire that will actually start and how to read your environment in order to gather the best tinder possible for success.
