Rebecca M.
Rebecca loves tracking natural patterns and cycles- in
stillness and in
motion. She is a devoted student of nature, astrology,
insight
meditation, yoga and the 5-Rhythms & Soul Motion dances. A
certified
Wilderness First Responder, she has been guiding youth, teens,
and adults
in wilderness survival and primitive skills courses for over
four years.
Her skills in Youth mentoring have developed over 17 years of
helping
families raise their children. Rebecca's love of nature was
nurtured
through her own family during trips through National forests,
summers at
the cabin in Maine, and years of living in a tent and out of a
backpack.
Rebecca's training at several wilderness skills schools across
the country
led her to complete a Primitive Skills Teacher Training at
Western Outdoor
Learning Foundation. In 2005, Rebecca completed her
internship and co-taught Five-Element/
Whole Foods Nutrition, Dietary Counseling and foundation level
Chinese
Medicine with nutritionist Paul Pitchford at Heartwood
Institute.
Rebecca currently shares her passion for participating in the
relationship
between awareness, food/farming and community health as the
nutritionist for Coyote Trails School of Nature.
